Senior Network Design Engineer

Nouvall Engineering Services is specialized in project support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industry. We provide expertise in the field of Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction and Safety.

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
• Network Infrastructure Design Role (Network Readiness for Operations).
• Ensure alignment with IT Operations standards:
1) Hardware (Manufacturer, model, firmware) (e.g. Cisco, …)
2) Software (version / patch level)
3) Configuration standards (naming, access credentials, parameters)
4) Receive handover from P1 project team (many small handovers)
• Manage IP schema
• 3rd level operations support during Construction
• Monitoring
• Support SIP activities (operations)

• Knowledge of Cisco platforms and products.
• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, WWAN design and implementation.
• Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles and general network management best practices.
• Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
• Extensive knowledge and hand-on with network protocol.
• Fluently English-speaking; Dutch is a good addition.
